AHAL Institute, School of Technology Management & Logistics (STML) has recently received the letter of intent (LOI) to collaborate from Islamic Information Documentation Centre (IIDC) Wien, Sterngasse Austria during the institutions meet up at the Malaysia Internal Halal Assembly which took place recently in Kuala Lumpur.
This strategic partnership will include various scope of halal development between the two countries especially in the matter of halal certification and halal training.
IIDC is the only JAKIM’s recognized and certified accreditation body (CB) in Austria and their operation covers Austria, Hungary and Germany.
IIDC was also one of the few organizations recognized by the UAE's highest accreditation body DAC (Dubai Accreditation Center) and by ESMA (Emirates Authority For Standardization and Metrology) since 2017.
During the meeting AHAL was represented by its Director Dr. Risyawati Mohamed Ismail and IIDC was represented by its Director, Dr Wafaa Sherif Aly Elewa.
The meeting between the two parties lasted about two hours, with both institutions expressing their intentions to further explore potential collaboration in various fields pertaining to halal industry in the near future.
STML Dean, Prof Dr. Rushami Zien Yusoff expressed his delight on the matter and hopes that AHAL Institute will continue to form strategic partnership on the global stage and make its present felt among the global halal stakeholders in many years to come.
He also expressed his hope that AHAL will continue to expand its halal related activities and agenda to various Muslim communities around the world.
